The book is written with the aim of providing English language learners in the English Language Education Department with knowledge about grammar so that they have sufficient tools for writing. This book is written based on the curriculum of English Language Education Department in which four topics are developed, comprising Parts of Speech, Phrases, Clauses and Sentences, and Sentence Analyses. Using Student Centered Learning approach, it aims to develop students’ competencies in all four language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. In addition, the materials and exercises of learning included in the book aims to improve students’ knowledge about English Grammar.

Learning activities in the book are developed in the form of exercises to make students actively learn English. By doing the exercises, the students are able to identify the topics of Grammar and apply their knowledge to express ideas and feelings naturally in English language. In learning, the teacher is expected to act as a facilitator, provide feedback, and encourage students to dare to use the target language to communicate accurately and acceptable.
